On February 28, 2008, this office advised that, as part of the 2008 Budget Bill, the New York State Legislature was considering an increase in the fee for the Equalization and Assessment Real Property Transfer Reporting Form (RP-5217/NYCRP-5217). We have now received information that the fee increase proposal has been formally stricken from the Budget legislation.
